Supermassiv (Blockchain Music Commerce)
The music industry will hit $131B by 2030 with over 20M artists, however most innovation to help artists earn has stagnated over the past decade. Since the formal adoption of streaming audio with services like Spotify, artists generate a fraction of the income for their music alone, driving them to find other revenue channels.

The Problem
Today every artist can build a fanbase and utilize social media, yet 99% of artists lack tools to monetize their audiences properly. Artists can have 10's of 1000s of streams on services yet to only receive a few dollars of royalties and seek new ways to handle exclusive music while servicing their most ravenous fans.

The Solution
With the rapid rise of digital collectables, we built a commerce platform for artist to sell their music as NFTs on the Solana blockchain. This was also the only music digital collectable market where users could signup and pay with their credit card for NFTs without ever knowing anything about crypto or the blockchain or having a crypto wallet. Artists would have a limited supply of collectables and via a campaign, would promote their drop which would include additional tiers for limited edition merchandise or experiential offerings.

The Result
Supermassiv was the only music platform that not only drove revenue in USD and provided direct payments to artists for digital collectables, but also generated new revenue streams which could be used not only for new recorded material, but also previously existing records that had yet to be released.
